• "The studied outcrop belongs to the Middle—Upper Permian sequence of the Rio do Rasto Formation, Paraná Basin (Holz et al. 2010)." Formation correlated with the Roadian to Wuchiapingian.

Environment/lithology: delta plain; sandstone and siltstone

• "This succession reflects a delta-front depositional environment."
• The outcrop "displays a succession composed of dominant layers of fine- to medium-grained sandstone, interbedded with siltstone layers with bedding-parallel stratification at the base. At the top of the outcrop, sandstones with tangential cross bedding of typical sigmoidal geometry are present"
