When: Amorphognathus ordovicicus conodont zone, Punta S'Argiola Member (Domusnovas Formation), Kralodvorian (449.8 - 445.2 Ma)

• The exposure shows the middle part (levels 4±5) of the Punta S'Argiola Member. Punta S'Argiola overlies the Maciurru member; Domusnovas overlies Portixeddu formation.

Environment/lithology: marine; red claystone

• The Cyclopygid Bed consists of reddish, bedded, uniform claystones with clearly a lower content of calcium carbonate than at localities Dom 1 and Dom 2b. Fossils are evenly distributed across many bedding planes.
