Environment/lithology: lagoonal; mudstone
• The strata indicate coastal deposits suggesting shelf environments, coastal lagoons, estuaries and deltas (Schwennicke 1994).
• The San Juan Member comprises mudstone, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerates, coquinas, tuffs and phosphorite rocks (Fischer et al. 1995).
