Environment/lithology: deep subtidal; lithified, gray wackestone

• bed was deposited on a continental shelf or ramp below fair weather wave base but perhaps near or above storm wave base, based on its biota, lithology, and texture, those of adjacent beds, and regional stratigraphy
• recrystallized light gray (fresh surface) wackestone, about 20 cm thick
