• Lower Kazanian beds, numbered S6/6 - S6/8 from bottom to top; S6/6 corresponds to the Kamyshla Beds, while S6/7 and S6/8 (which contain most of the fossils) correspond to the Krasnyi Yar Beds (Nurgaliev et al. 2015)
•Overlies the beds of outcrop S7 (Collection no. 197600), and is overlain by outcrop S2 (Collection no. 197620); Outcrop S5 shows S6/6 in bed-level detail (Collection no. 197601)
Environment/lithology: marine; mudstone and siltstone
•Package S6/6 Interval 52.0 - 67.5m Thickness 15.5m
•Alternation of grey sandstones, siltstones, shales, marls and limestone with marine and non-marine fauna. The lower part of the section contains a member (4m thick) of alternating grey sandstones, siltstones, shales, and limestones with two interbeds of black coaly rock ('charcoal'). This member was studied in outcrop 5 (Collection no. 197601).
