•"A Sakmarian age is proposed here for Franchesse because this locality is stratigraphically younger than Buxières-les-Mines, where a cinerite (called “Lien vert”) has been dated at 288 ± 4 Ma, i.e. at the Asselian-Sakmarian limit [Kaulfuss, 2003]" (Steyer et al. 2012)
