Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, shelly/skeletal, gray, green, carbonaceous grainstone

• 7.5-15 cm thick layer of light purplish to olive gray coarse-grained bituminous biosparite (shelly calcarenite), grain supported, with fine sparite settling out on upper surfaces of trilobites and pelmatozoan fragments.
