• Early Middle Cambrian (Cambrian Series 3, Stage 5), Upper Leonian. Given Zamora et al. 2009, this probably is the upper half of the asturianus zone.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; nodular, red limestone and nodular, red shale

• this part of the section is composed of purple to reddish nodular limestones and shales, probably deposited in shoreface to offshore conditions (facies D of Álvaro & Vennin, 1997).
