• Bed depth: 45.6m

Environment/lithology: basinal (); lithified limestone

• The Toarcian sediments are ~170 m thick and consist mainly of grey marls with marly-limestone intercalations. The upper part of the Polymorphum Zone and lower part of the Serpentinum Zone, with some intercalations of black shale, is dark grey in colour.
