When: Bifrons ammonoid zone, Subbetic Basin Formation, Middle Toarcian (182.0 - 175.6 Ma)

Environment/lithology: basinal (); lithified limestone

• The lower part of the section (Serpentinum to Gradata Zones), ~14.5 m thick, is composed of red marly limestones, partially nodular red marls and marly limestones. Microfacies are mudstones and packstones with radiolarians, scarce thin-shelled bivalves, benthic foraminifers, ostracods, etc.
