Selitrennoye mollusks (Pleistocene of Russian Federation)

Where: Russian Federation (47.2° N, 47.4° E: paleocoordinates 47.2° N, 47.4° E)

• coordinate stated in text

• small collection-level geographic resolution

When: Late/Upper Pleistocene (0.1 - 0.0 Ma)

• In the present study, we specify the stage as Hyrcanian. According to the most recent dates based on optically stimulated luminescence, the age of the Hyrcanian transgression is estimated at 107±7 ky (Kurbanov et al., 2018), corresponding to the early Late Pleistocene.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine - large; unlithified sandstone

• Medium-fine grained sand with shells dispersed and in concentrated lenses, some silt

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: original aragonite, original calcite

Collection methods: bulk,
