Idima-Abam junction section, Bende (Eocene to of Nigeria)
Where: Abia, Nigeria (5.8° N, 7.7° E: paleocoordinates 0.5° N, 1.9° E)
• coordinate estimated from map
When: Ameki Formation, Lutetian to Lutetian (47.8 - 38.0 Ma)
Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; gray shale and phosphatic limestone
• The depositional environments of the section were inter- preted as subtidal to intertidal parts of the shelf by Arua (1986). Odumodu and Nfor (2012, 2013) using sedimen- tary features and faunal content suggested that the section was deposited in a shallow marine shelf.
