Environment/lithology: terrestrial; hematitic sandstone

• Some remains of large mammals have been found in the red-brown sands (Syrides, 1990). The washing of the clays indicated the presence of some micromammalian dental fragments. Above the lacustrine deposits, there is a level with hard sands, sandy marls where we found some bones and dental remains of hipparions
