• Mendes (1944) describes these beds as Upper Triassic on the basis of the bivalve fauna.
•Corumbataí Formation is Capitanian - Wuchiapingian in age based on a combination of U/Pb zircon dating and relationship with other local formations (Rocha-Campos et al. 2019).
•These beds are from the 'upper horizon' described in Mendes (1944).
