When: Glyptagnostus stolidotus trilobite zone, Shannon Formation (Pertaoorrta Group), Mindyallan (499.0 - 497.0 Ma)

• Overlies Giles Creek Dolostone & underlies Goyder Formation

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lithified dolomite and lithified limestone

• bove 49.4 m, the upper Shannon Formation largely consists of dolostones and sandstones that are typically cross-bedded, but thin limestones interbedded with shales and sandstones in repeated depositional cycles also occur in the lower half of this interval. Similarly, ooids and pisoids commonly occur below ∼165 m, and stromatolites, as well as lenticular clasts, below ∼200 m.
