Where: British Columbia, Canada (49.0° N, 124.0° W: paleocoordinates 52.7° N, 90.0° W)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Sphenoceramus schmidti inoceramid zone, Haslam Formation, Late/Upper Santonian (85.8 - 83.5 Ma)
• The bivalves Sphenoceramus elegans and S. cf. orientalis are also noted continuously throughout this section, occasionally co-occurring with the crinoids. Thus, the stratigraphic interval exposed along 'Step Creek' can be assigned to the lower, Sphenoceramus elegans Subzone of the S. schmidti Zone.
