Where: British Columbia, Canada (48.8° N, 123.7° W: paleocoordinates 54.2° N, 85.7° W)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Sphenoceramus schmidti inoceramid zone, Haslam Formation, Late/Upper Santonian (85.8 - 83.5 Ma)
• Although associated fauna at these southern Vancouver Island localities is limited, the available biostratigraphic control suggests that these Haslam Formation strata are presumably part of the Sphenoceramus schmidti Zone of Jeletzky (1970).
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: submarine fan; lithified siltstone
