• Chaloner (1964, p.29): One of the samples, a hard sandstone, bears compressions of Archaeopteris foliage and sporangia, whilst the second, a more indurated finer-grained sandstone from the Acanthodian Bed of the same locality, bears compressions of a thickly cutinized plant axis of unknown affinity.
