• D'Avenac Unit. Oldest ammonites from the base of the d'Avenac unit include Hoplitoplacenticeras dolbergense and small heteromorphs of the genus Pseudoxybeloceras, indicating a Late Campanian age for the unit. The base of the Maastrichtian is at 115.2 m in the overlying Les Vignes unit. Collected loose, but probably from the 5-8 m level.
