• Uppermost Lago Colhué Huapi Formation. Geological studies—particularly those of palynomorphs—support a late Maastrichtian age, probably close to the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary, for the stratigraphic horizon in question (Vallati et al., 2016, 2020).
