Where: Colombia (6.6° N, 73.1° W: paleocoordinates 3.4° N, 42.6° W)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Paja Formation, Late/Upper Aptian (122.5 - 113.0 Ma)
• Upper part of Paja Formation, upper Aptian. The gastropod Turritella (Haustator) columbiana Jaworski, 1938, and the ammonite Acanthohoplites eleganteante Etayo-Serna, 1979, were recovered stratigraphically below the level bearing decapod remains, and indicate an upper Aptian age in Colombia (Etayo, 1979; Kakabadze et al., 2004; Cortés et al., 2006; Etayo-Serna, personal communication, 2011).
