• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the upper part of the "San Pedro Series" in Los Angeles Basin. This unit is not currently named, but is correlative with the Palos Verdes Sand: AGE: Late Pleistocene (~0.125 Ma) based on current understanding of the Palos Verdes Sand. STRATIGRAPHIC RESOLUTION: List is incomplete for the upper San Pedro Series from a relatively small geographic area, so given stratigraphic resolution of group of beds.

Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified, shelly/skeletal siliciclastic sediments

• ENVIRONMENT: Not stated, but based on current understanding of the units likely collected the list represents nearshore through inner shelf, siliciclastic depositional settings.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Unknown, but based on museum collections this is liekly a fine sandstone or siltstone. LITHIFICATION: Unknown, but based on museum collections would have been unlithified.
