When: Timms Point Silt Formation, Middle Pleistocene (0.8 - 0.1 Ma)

• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the Timms Point Silt, which is locally overlain by the San Pedro Sand; it is possible that this is infact from the San Pedro Sand. AGE: Lower Pleistocene in Woodring et al. (1946) and Valentine PhD, but is now regarded as Middle Pleistocene [A. Hendy]. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From Unit 2 of Timms Point Silt.

Environment/lithology: offshore; poorly lithified siltstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Typically containing a offshore shelf fauna.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Not listed, but generally a poorly consolidated silt. LITHIFICATION: Not stated, but typically poorly lithified.
