• Aguión Fm. hosts one of the seven reefal episodes described in the Devonian of the Cantabrian zone

• formation-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: perireef or subreef; green marl and red marl

Size class: macrofossils

• upper Emsian crops out showing a rich benthic fauna including mainly bryozoans, crinoids, corals and brachiopods

Preservation: recrystallized, replaced with dolomite
