Environment/lithology: marine; mudstone

• "The dominant species filled a niche, occurred in large clumps, and the individuals were attached at the bottom to each other. A suspension-feeding mode of life indicates favorable conditions above the sea floor."
• "Dark mudstone bedding planes covered by disarticulated shells."

Collection methods: Despite distribution, text seems to imply that all faunal elements are found at type locality.
