Environment/lithology: deltaic; lithified, black, muddy shale and lithified, yellow, sandy sandstone

• In general, it is very clear that the trace fossils and invertebrates are essentially marine, which suggests, together with its sedimentary facies, a deltaic zone submerged in prodelta facies, deltaic front, interdistributary bays and interdistributary channels, and shoreface-beach facies.
• The Piedra Clavada Formation is composed by yellow sandstones, gray to dark mudstones, heterolithic facies and few conglomerates and coquinas.
