When: Minnekahta Limestone Formation, Kungurian to Kungurian (279.3 - 268.8 Ma)
• early to middle Permian (Cisuralian to Guadalupian; late Kungurian to early Roadian) based on age of the Minnekahta Limestone. Specimens found 35 feet below the top of the formation
Environment/lithology: lagoonal or restricted shallow subtidal; lithified limestone
