Where: Shikoku, Japan (33.9° N, 134.5° E: paleocoordinates 44.1° N, 129.5° E)

When: Late/Upper Triassic (237.0 - 201.4 Ma)

Environment/lithology: lagoonal or restricted shallow subtidal; lithified wackestone

• lagoonal involutinid wackestone that comes from the Wajiki area and has been retrieved from a limestone breccia with siliceous mudstone matrix (Peybernes et al. 2016b). Limestone clasts and blocks from these two localities range from the Ladinian?-Carnian to the Rhaetian (Peybernes et al. 2016b)

Size class: mesofossils

Preservation: original aragonite, replaced with calcite
