• Middle Aptian, Epicheloniceras subnodosocostatum Zone. Holotype is 6 m below the top of Member II.

Environment/lithology: coastal; lithified, nodular sandstone

• The middle member (II) is represented by sandstones; at their base there is a horizon of large loaf-like calcareous nodules, and numerous small nodules of similar composition are scattered in the strata
