• This set of strata is classified locally as Tangbian Formation, which belongs to Guifeng Group (Liu 1997; Xie 2001; Wu et al. 2002; Xi et al. 2021; Zeng et al. 2023).

• Huaxiazhoulong shouwen (holotype: JPM-N000) is a partial postcranial skeleton, which consists of nine dorsal vertebrae, a possible sacral vertebra, seventeen caudal vertebrae, two pieces of co-ossified tail handle fragments and two major osteoderms, twenty-seven ribs, left scapulocoracoid, incomplete right scapulocoracoid, sternum, both humeri, ulnae
•and radii, three metacarpals, both ilia, ischia, femora and tibiae, four metatarsals and three isolated postcranial osteoderms.
