• Fossiliferous ruditic tuffites and hyaloclastites (“Lophoranina tuff” Auct.), intercalated in nummulitic limestones of the upper Chiampo Marble

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: deep subtidal ramp; poorly lithified, shelly/skeletal, sandy, conglomeratic volcaniclastic sediments

• According to Beccaro et al. (2001) and Frisone et al. (2020) the site represents a distal oligophotic to aphotic part of a distally steepened carbonate ramp at a water depth below 200 m.
• a tuffite composed of rounded volcanic fragments, calcareous bioclasts and calcitic cement
