Environment/lithology: shoreface; hematitic, micaceous, brown, gray, red, yellow quartzite

• "Benthic Assemblage 2 - uppermost 3 of Boucot (shallow subtidal/lowest intertidal zone)."
• "impure sandstones altered by metamorphism in brown, grey, red, and yellow quartzites with common muscovite, feldspars, and locally biotite and hematite. Regional metamorphism at some localities reaches the staurolite metamorphic zone, although most localities are within the biotite and garnet metamorphic zones."
