• Originally called the Cliefden Caves Limestone Group, sometimes with the formation as Gleesons Limestone Formation. Conodont zone from Zhen, Webby & Barnes (1999)

Environment/lithology: estuary or bay; lithified, calcareous siltstone and sandstone

• Mixed calcareous siliciclastics representing shallow subtidal/quiet intertidal environments, described as nearshore to estuarine/bay

Size class: macrofossils

Collection methods: Webby and Percival, 1983 is primarily a paleoecologic study, but Webby and Packham, 1982 is primarily biostratigraphic
