• Originally called the Cliefden Caves Limestone Group, sometimes with the formation as Gleesons Limestone Formation

Environment/lithology: estuary or bay; lithified lime mudstone and wackestone

• Lime-mud supported shell bank, but with substantial terrigenous material; described as restricted, nearshore conditions, possibly estuarine or protected bay.
