• coordinate based on nearby landmark

When: Subathu Formation, Middle Eocene (47.8 - 37.7 Ma)

• two closely-spaced red-colored bands which occur approx. 16 m below the top of the formation

Environment/lithology: red shale and red siliciclastic

• fossils recovered from two closely-spaced red-coloured thin granulestone bands which occur sandwiched within the red shales of the uppermost Subathu Fm.

Size class: mesofossils

Collection methods: mechanical, sieve,

• matrix disaggregated by boiling in a heavily diluted detergent, and screen washed, some retrieved by chipping and chiseling in the field
