When: Santonian to Santonian (86.3 - 72.1 Ma)
• This locality is late Santonian or early Campanian. The plant bearing sequence consists of about 20 m of unconsolidated sands and clays that are divisible into a lower and an upper series, the boundary between the two being a distinctive weathered horizon. The lower unit overlies the kaolinite which is unconformable on Lower Palaeozoic basement. Similar deposits are known from two other, now abandoned, quarries nearby in the vicinity at Axeltorp and Ivo Klack.

• 800 g of sediment were collected and examined for each sample. Other fossils recovered from some of the samples have recently been described by Friis (1985) and Friis et al. (1988), namely Platananthus scanicus (GI32107, 32189), Platanocarpus sp. (GI32107-32189) and Actinocalyx bohrii (GI32107).
