• Relatively undisturbed buff to grey coloured beds outcropped around the camp. 'Superimposed on older deposits assigned to the Hsanda Gol Formation these sediments seemed homogeneous to the field party and were named collectively the Khunuk Formation.' Fossils were collected from three separate localities, which may or may not be of the same age so they have been designated A, B and C. 'On July 8th and 9th a third set of exposures (thinner, 10m) of Khunuk Formation was investigated. These deposits were about '15 miles northeast of camp''.
