• MN12, Middle Turolian, late Miocene.

Environment/lithology: brown marl

• 'In the Alfambra formation 'At about 7m from the base there is an intercalation of 0.4m brown marl with many white bones of larger mammals, some molluscs and plant remains. This level corresponds with the classical locality of Cerro de la Garita (CC).'
