• Mesogondolella idahoensis and N. pequopensis suggest Kungurian age (Wardlaw et al., 1982)

Environment/lithology: marine; limestone and sandstone

• Sandstone beds are widespread but poorly exposed in the Coyote Butte Formation, limestone lenses are olive-grey, crinoidal fusulinid limestones in lower part of formation; Purer, finer-grained, deep-olive in colour and better bedded in the upper part with rarer fusulinids and common brachiopods.
