• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONSHIPS: From the Al Sceleidima Member (formely formation of Francis and Issawi, 1977), which overlies the Benghazi Mbr (Middle Miocene) and is overlain by the Msus Mbr (Middle Miocene) of the Ar Rajmah Fm. AGE: Middle Miocene, on the basis of macrofossil biostratigraphy. THICKNESS: about 30 m at type section.
