• The uppermost part of the Shimajiri Group. Shinzato member (now formation) spans calcareous nannoplankton zones CN12b just to the base of CN13, and planktonic foram zones PL5 and PL6 (UjiiĆ©, 1994), indicating a Gelasian age.
