Where: British Columbia, Canada (56.1° N, 123.0° W: paleocoordinates 27.5° N, 42.1° W)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Pardonet Formation, Carnian (237.0 - 228.0 Ma)
• At the base are 500 feet of "Grey Beds" consisting of limestone rocks described in the lithology section. The overlying 1850 feet are largely concealed, indicating more shaly beds, characteristic of the Pardonent Formation. The probable age is late-middle or early-late Carnian.
