• Sandstone interbedded with silty sandstone of basal Temblor Formation. From faunizone A (for that reason assigned an early Miocene age).

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: coastal; lithified, coarse-grained, brown sandstone and poorly lithified, gray, blue, silty sandstone

• Deposited in partially enclosed bay. The fauna has a preponderance of shallow-water forms and many of the genera are characteristic of tropical or subtropical climate.
• Hard, coarse, brown sandstone interbedded within predominantly soft, fine, light, bluish-gray, silty sandstone.
