Where: Greenland (71.7° N, 23.9° W: paleocoordinates 28.7° N, 12.5° E)

When: Wordie Creek Formation, Griesbachian (251.9 - 250.5 Ma)

• Upper Griesbachian, based on ammonoid fauna (Ophiceras commune)

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; micaceous, gray, green, silty, calcareous shale and lenticular, calcareous sandstone

• 15-18m greenish-grey, calcareous, silty and micaceous shales. A few thin layers of caclareous sandstone are interbedded in the upper part. The base of one of these is formed by a lenticular coquina, only 1-2cm thick, with beautifully preserved ammonites (sic) (sample T240)
