Also known as Owen's Branch; OBB

Where: Clinton County, Kentucky (36.9° N, 85.1° W: paleocoordinates 23.1° S, 33.3° W)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• small collection-level geographic resolution

When: Gnathodus texanus conodont zone, Fort Payne Chert Formation, Osagean (352.0 - 343.0 Ma)

• JA: originally entered as late Osagean; falls entirely within the Gnathodus texanus zone (Ausich and Meyer 1990), which in turn is Chadian to Arundian (Work and Mason 2004)

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; green shale and packstone

• Autochthonous
• Originally: crinoids collected from one of four facies within the fort payne; at this locality, the facies is wackestone buildup
