• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: Fossil Bluff Formation. AGE: ?Late Aptian to Early Albian. Justification not stated, presumably based on Belemnite and Ammonoid index taxa. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Collectio lies within upper c. 1.2 km of the approximately 4 km thick formation.

• TECTONIC SETTING: "from forearc environment".
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Unknown lithology, probably mudstone. Formation includes "mainly mudstones, tuffaceous sandstoones, and conglomerates". LITHIFICATION: Lithified, based on figured specimens, many of which remain encased in matrix.
