• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the Garschella Formation, which represents the "Gault" of Zittel 1868, Vacek 1879, and Föllmi and Ouwehand. The Garschella Fm overlies the Schrattenkalk, Drusberg, and Mittagspitz Fm, and is overlain by the Seewer Kalk Fm. AGE: Aptian in age, although justification for age assignment not provided.

Environment/lithology: lithified, shelly/skeletal limestone

• ENVIRONMENT: Considered to be boreal or temperate. Abundance of ammonites suggests environments that were bathymetrically deeper than those of nerineaceans, anthozoans, etc.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Condensated and highly fossiliferous, lithified (as many specimens are internal moulds). Presumably from chalk facies. LITHIFICATION: Lithified based on facies description and taphonomic comments.
