• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: No lithostratigraphic unit reported in text. From emergent features along coast increasng in elevation to 250 ft above sea level. AGE: Late Wisconsin (Richards 1940). Coleman (1926) favored multiple glacial events, although MacClintock and Twenhofel (1940) and Richards (1940) indicate that deposits in Newfoundland are isochronous. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Shells from upper 15 ft of 35 ft terrace.
