When: Nyalindung Formation, Middle Miocene (16.0 - 11.6 Ma)
• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: Formerly referred to as Nyalindung Mbr of Cimandiri Fm (Sukamoto, 1990). Overlying Jampang Fm. THICKNESS: From < 2 m thick bed within <3 m section; total composite section thickness is estimated at around 40 m. AGE: Age still debated, but most evidence, including molluscan and foraminiferal biostratigraphy suggest a Middle Miocene age. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From lower part of cycle 3 near base of the Nyalindung Fm.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
