Environment/lithology: marine; ooidal, shelly/skeletal, gray, argillaceous grainstone and shale

• golconda fm: light gray to tan, crinoidal, slightly oolitic; granular to crystalline and exhibits numerous fossil fragments on weathered surfaces; interbedded variegated red, olive green, and gray shale, as much as 20 ft. in thickness; chert, dolomite, limonite, and hematite are common minerals; pyrite also occurs.
